The Rossoneri small favorite on the road against Atalanta

AC Milan opened their new season with an assertive 4-2 victory at home over Udinese, but will face a tougher opponent this week, and on the road to boot.

On Sunday the Rossoneri will travel to face Atalanta, another football team that began their Serie A season with a victory. Atalanta, on the road, left no chance to Sampdoria last Saturday, beating the Genoa team 0-2. Thus the Nerazzurri at home will most likely prove to be a very tough team to beat and keep climbing the Serie A table. The situation around Olivier Giroud remains shrouded in rumors, but Rebic delivered last week, scoring 2 of the 4 goals against Udinese, so we are not worried much on this front. The attack and the team overall seemed to gel quite well, if last week’s match is any indication for the future.

But Atalanta is no slouch this year, as their game against Sampdoria has shown. So it’s no surprise that, while AC Milan is holding favorite betting odds to win the game outright this Sunday at most sportsbooks, it is a very small favorite. Checking the betting odds provided by OnlineCasinoSnoop.com, we see that AC Milan is paying on 2.50 to take all 3 points in the second Serie A match of the season. Meanwhile, Atalanta, although underdog, is at just 2.80 at most gambling websites. Not much of a difference between the odds on both teams this week, which should be unnerving to many, especially those planing to include the Atalanta vs. AC Milan match to their wagers. A possible draw (and our belief for the outcome of this game) is the most generous among the betting options, paying on 3.40 coefficient with the sportsbooks.

As you can see, the second match of the season shapes to be a though one for the Rossoneri. Atalanta will certainly be a though one to beat and our prediction is that the game will likely end up in a draw. Hopefully we are wrong and AC Milan takes all 3 points this weekend.
